Originally a dry goods store, this building in Locke was built in 1916 and later sold to Suen Yock Lim in 1928. Suen operated a grocery store and ice cream parlor and incorporated gambling on the side. The ice cream parlor continued bolstered by a small kitchen which served meals to the single men in town. The kitchen still exists and may be viewed at the back of the River Road Art Gallery, the present occupants.
